The College of Dentistry (CoD) at the American University of Iraq-Baghdad (AUIB) celebrated the commencement of its second cohort of students of their practical clinical training in a “White Coat Ceremony,” where students donned their white laboratory coats for the first time, received their certificates, and took the profession’s oath of honor before AUIB President, Dr. Bradley Cook, CoD Dean, Dr. Nada Naaman, College faculty, and representatives of the Iraqi Dental Association, in the presence of the students’ parents.
Under the proud gaze of the parents, the academic procession marched towards the stage, headed by the Dean of AUIB’s College of Dentistry, followed by faculty, and then students, excited on their special day. President Cook welcomed the crowd, celebrating this “defining moment in the journey of our students… 185 future dentists who are embracing a promise to heal, serve, and uphold the highest standards of professionalism and compassion as caregivers”
