The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Free Scholarships
In collaboration with the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, AUIB offers a range of scholarships in accordance with Ministry regulations and eligibility criteria. Eligible students may receive full or partial scholarships, depending on the scholarship category and their individual circumstances.
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Free Scholarships
A free scholarship offered for students in medical fields. Applications should be submitted through the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research portal if the student’s high school degree qualifies for the scholarship.
Detailed steps and eligibility for applying to this scholarship is mentioned in the Student Guide, must have had a minimum applying average per Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research qualification criteria for each Academic Year.
The Ministry Martyrs Channel 50%
A 50% tuition waiver is offered to eligible students applying through the Martyrs Channel. Applications are submitted through the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research portal, where students can find instructions on the application process.
Detailed eligibility criteria and application steps are available in the Student Guide. The 50% waiver applies to tuition fees only and does not cover admission, annual, or other applicable fees.
Persons with Disabilities and Special Needs Scholarship
This scholarship is designed to support students with disabilities and special needs in accessing quality higher education at AUIB. Eligible students receive a 100% tuition waiver, in addition to applicable accommodations and support throughout the admission process, in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The Rafidain Fellowship Program, sponsored by the American University of Iraq–Baghdad (AUIB) in partnership with the U.S. Embassy in Iraq, is inspired by the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, the lifelines of Mesopotamia and the birthplace of civilization.
