Scholarships are awarded based on outstanding academic achievement. There are numerous awards from AUIB and external sources each year for new and continuing students who are eligible to apply.

Mr. Saadi Waheeb Saihood's Scholarship
Mr. Saadi Waheeb Saihood’s Scholarship provides an opportunity for various groups in society to access an open gateway to higher education and earn a recognized degree in any field of humanistic or scientific knowledge. This scholarship is dedicated to talented Iraqi students who are committed to self-development, diligent in their studies, engaged in productive work, and actively involved in academic pursuits, by offering them full support for higher education.

Builders of Iraq
The American University of Iraq-Baghdad (AUIB) is providing Iraqi students from all parts of the country and its various social components with opportunities for advanced and internationally accredited education curriculum. In part AUIB is offering 60 full scholarships based on merit and academic excellence.

AUIB Merit-Need Scholarship
This Scholarship is based on student financial need and high school average score (80% minimum). Awardees are provided with a full scholarship including the ELA tuition.

The MOHESR policy instructs that student are eligible for a 50% tuition discount if have an approved certificate and are eligible for the Martyr channel. AUIB offered those students another 50% discount on their tuition, resulting in a full (100%) tuition discount.

KAS Scholarship
A full scholarship sponsored by Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Foundation based on the financial need. Recipients of this Scholarship must be enrolled in programs through the College of Business or the College of International studies at AUIB.

Ministry Free Scholarship
A free scholarship offered for students in medical fields. Recipients of this scholarship must have had a minimum applying average of 93%. AUIB has included the tuition of the English Language Academy in this scholarship.
