Prominent Iraqi sculptor, Mr. Nidaa Kadhim, visited the American University of Iraq-Baghdad (AUIB), where he was welcomed by AUIB President, Dr. Michael Mulnix, and members of university faculty and staff.
During his visit, Mr. Kadhim presented AUIB a special gift of three statues of prominent Iraqi intellectuals and artists: sociologist and historian Ali Al-Wardi, the poet Mohammad Mahdi Al-Jawahiri, and architect Zaha Hadid.
On behalf of AUIB community, President Mulnix expressed deep appreciation of the valuable artistic gift, announcing that the three statues will be erected on AUIB campus, in honor of the prominent figures and in gratitude to their role in the advancement of Iraqi society and culture, contributing to the revival of the legacy of intellectual and artistic dynamism and renewal in Iraq.
