AUIB delivers the MBA in formal academic partnership with Lawrence Technological University (LTU), a leading American university in Southfield, Michigan.
Courses are delivered by LTU professors at AUIB, ensuring U.S.-aligned academic standards throughout the program.
Selected students travel to the United States to attend two courses delivered directly on the LTU campus in Michigan.
Students may extend their U.S. stay to complete LTU’s Project Management course and receive an internationally recognised certificate issued by LTU.

The AUIB MBA is structured as a 12-course program delivered over 4 semesters, offering a comprehensive and integrated business education. Total number of credits 36 credit hours with two options: A. Thesis Option (MGT 695 for 6 Credit Hours) plus 10 courses (30 Credit Hours). B. Non-Thesis or Capstone Project MGT 694 for 3 credit Hours plus 11 courses (33 Credit Hours)

A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution recognised by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, or an equivalent international accreditation body.
A minimum of two years of professional work experience. Applicants with exceptional academic records and less experience are encouraged to contact the MBA office directly.
Submission of one English language proficiency examination (taken within 12 months); TOEFL (79) (accepts My/Best scores for the TOEFL iBT® test, in addition to TOEFL iBT scores from a single test date); IELTS (6.0 Band); SAT Critical Reading Section or SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing — (500) ACT English Section — (21); Duolingo (105 or higher); Pearson’s PTE (53); Successful Completion of International Baccalaureate (IB).
A 300–500 word statement in English outlining the applicant’s professional background, motivation for pursuing the MBA, and intended contribution to the program community.

The AUIB MBA program is completed in 24 months over 4 semesters on a part-time basis. The program comprises:
- 10 courses (30 credit hours) plus Thesis (6 credit hours)
- 11 courses (33 credit hours) plus capstone project (3 credit hours)
Yes. The Program is specifically structured for working professionals. All courses are scheduled during weekends and evenings, and hybrid delivery options are available.
Students may extend their stay in the United States to complete Lawrence Technological University’s Project Management course. Upon successful completion, they receive a Project Management Certificate by LTU.
The final semester includes a Capstone Strategy Simulation — a comprehensive applied exercise in which students address real-world business challenges, serving as the culminating academic requirement.
Accepted examinations include TOEFL (iBT), IELTS (Academic), and Duolingo English Test. Applicants from English-medium undergraduate institutions may be exempt.
The MBA operates on rolling admissions — applications are accepted throughout the year. Enrolment capacity is limited, and early applications are strongly encouraged.

Students must complete 36 credit hours of coursework and 6 credit hours of graduate project to graduate. Graduate studies at the College of Business require all COB graduate students to maintain an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. If a student’s GPA falls below 3.0 in any semester, they will be placed on academic probation by the MBA office.
