His Excellency Bruno Antonio Pasquino, Italian Ambassador to Iraq, visited the American University of Iraq – Baghdad (AUIB) and was received by AUIB Founding President Dr. Michael W. Mulnix.
They discussed potential cooperation between the Italian Embassy and AUIB that would enrich education in the country, as well as opportunities to incorporate specific Italian educational and cultural programming into AUIB’s curricula that could support the University’s core Liberal Arts programs and support global accreditation for AUIB.
Dr. Mulnix outlined the mission, vision, and future of AUIB and its colleges and institutes, noting the importance of the upcoming launch of the College of Medicine and its attached 200-bed teaching hospital.
Ambassador Bruno offered his support to the University and praised its efforts to promote higher education quality in the country.
