The Francophone University Agency (AUF), one of the largest associations of higher education and research institutions in the world, organized a three-day workshop at the American University of Iraq-Baghdad (AUIB) on “Using AI in Education: Improving Outcomes and Creating Equity in the Classroom.”
The aim of the workshop was to familiarize participants with Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications in the field of education, and to empower faculty members “to develop strategies for integrating AI into university-level teaching across different disciplines and academic levels.” The workshop also discussed “the ethical implications of using AI in education.”
AUIB is keen to keep abreast of the latest developments in education and related fields, and saves no effort to integrate new technologies and innovative methods in teaching and learning. AUIB thus promotes the use of AI applications as qualitatively new and powerful tools in the aforementioned processes of education, while at the same time guarding against over-reliance on these technologies, and instead preserving and nurturing original thinking and genuine creativity on part of its students.
