Although this was my third academic journey, it was by far the richest. Now, as I graduate, I believe that AUIB is much-needed in Iraq more than ever due to its vital role in shaping the new generation. Thank you AUIB

Graduating from AUIB is a proud and emotional moment for me. These past years have helped me grow in so many ways and shaped who I am today. I’m beyond thankful to my amazing instructors for their constant encouragement and to my wonderful family for their love, support, and faith in me. This journey wouldn’t have been the same without them. I’m excited about the next chapter and will always carry AUIB in my heart.

My journey at the American University of Iraq – Baghdad (AUIB) has been an unforgettable experience. AUIB offered me countless opportunities to learn, grow, and discover my true potential. Through inspiring professors, a vibrant campus, and continuous support, I was able to develop academically, professionally, and personally. I am deeply grateful for every moment spent here. AUIB will always be a proud part of my story, and I will carry its spirit with me into the future.

I went into AUIB not knowing what path to take, but I was able to find out not only what interested me, but what I was good at. I gained leadership skills, work experience, and career opportunities. But most important of all, I met people who were the core part of my experience: professors who guided me through my program, staff who ensured we had fun activities, and above all, friends who made the tough days bearable and the great days unforgettable. To my fellow graduates, here’s to the next chapter in our lives, cheers!

It was an unforgettable step in my life and has taught me many great lessons. Also, I have made the best friendships with fantastic people. I am leaving AUIB, but a part of my heart will stay be there forever.

Dear AUIB, thank you. I never imagined I would find myself in such a practical, creative, and enriching environment. I am truly grateful for every moment, and I know I will deeply miss even the most ordinary things. To my colleagues, my friends, and my professors—I will miss you all. Dr. Chrsitine, Dr. Ben, Dr. Keith, and Dr. John thank you for making my journey rich and memorable.

Every step of my journey has been a reminder that passion, kindness, and persistence can light even the darkest paths. I am proud of how far I’ve come and even more excited about the journey ahead.

AUIB was an unforgetable journey that marked my future. It was a unqiue experience that will be engraved in my heart, the place, the people, and the time I spent there. I will surely miss those who shaped my future and aided me in persuing my path to become a novelist. Thank you AUIB for giving me the chance to realize my dream, and giving me the right tools and guidance to work towards it.

It feels like yesterday that I was in the bus heading into AUIB for the first time. I guess time really does fly when you’re having fun. I owe everything to my friends and family for the support all these years. You’ve been with me through the highs and lows, and I’m very grateful. Goodbye AUIB. And to the future students: enjoy every moment, work hard, and make the most of your journey.

A unique and unforgettable journey. Starting alongside just twelve fellow undergraduates, only three peers within my college, and being the sole student in my major, MIS, every moment had its worth. I had the rare privilege of one-on-one classes, just me and Dr. Abbas, and intimate small classes (with Dr. Farid and Dr. Hamade), as well as the vibrant energy of larger classrooms as our community grew.
Once asked if there was something I regretted not doing at AUIB, I confidently answered, “No.”
My years were spent fully embracing every opportunity: exploring, volunteering, making bold decisions, forming lasting connections, earning excellent grades, and other not very good ones, challenging myself and others, learning and also teaching, helping and receiving help, and broadening my perspective of the world.
It was a profound journey of growth and self-discovery. Above all, I am immensely grateful to God for blessing me with devoted parents who prioritized my education. My deepest gratitude goes to my father and mother for making this remarkable journey possible.

Choosing AUIB was the best choice that I made in the past four years. The best thing about this journey was the people who I had the pleasure of meeting with, whether they were professors or fellow students. AUIB offered me opportunities that improved my overall mindset, such as workshops, exchange programs, and the opportunity to learn from international faculty members. Thanks to my god, family, professors, and colleagues for making these four years some of the best years of my life.

Bachelor’s is done. MBA is next. Ph.D. is surely coming. Not for prestige, but for purpose. I dedicate this milestone to my father, whom I lost mid-journey at AUIB. Though he is not here physically, I know he has walked with me through every step. This is for you.

My journey at AUIB has concluded, but my commitment to serve Iraq resolute. I extend my sincere gratitude to the founding father Mr. Saadi Wahaib and his family, and my CIS professors. Now I carry with me the unwavering conviction that I can contribute to a brighter future for Iraq, a future where knowledge reigns supreme, and our nation stands as a beacon of progress for the entire region. To my father, my mother, my eternal commanders, I vow to honor your memory by upholding the dignity and strength of our flag. I believe that the future leaders of Iraq will emerges from the halls of AUIB. May God bless Iraq, its valiant armed forces, and its noble people.

When I first began my university journey, I was eager to explore—not just my major, but everything I could learn along the way. The diverse classes I took helped me see the world through new perspectives, shaping the way I think, question, and grow.
But the real transformation happened beyond the classroom. I stepped into roles I never imagined—volunteer, Student Ambassador, team leader, event organizer, and community member. Each experience pushed me outside my comfort zone and helped me discover the kind of person I could become. I learned how to lead, collaborate, and adapt, all while being surrounded by people who shared the same drive to grow and make an impact.
One of the biggest challenges I faced was the language barrier. I entered university with limited English, and it held me back at first. But through consistent effort and support, my skills improved dramatically. Today, I can confidently read, write, and speak fluently—something that now empowers me in every space I step into, personally and professionally.
From internships to student communities, every step of this journey has contributed to my growth. It’s been a path of discovery, development, and determination—and I’m proud of how far me and my classmates have come.

My time at AUIB helped me grow both academically and personally, and I am grateful for the knowledge, friendships, and experiences I gained that have prepared me for the next chapter of my journey.

I am deeply grateful to the professors AUIB gave us the privilege to learn from. I genuinely appreciate every professor I took a course with. A special thanks go to those who wrote my graduate school recommendations– Dr. Bishop, Dr. Perreault, Dr. Irwani, Dr. Foroughi, Dr. Mayer, Dr. Jardim, and Dr. Hoffiz –you’ve lit my path, and I am beyond thankful to you all. To every professor who invested time in teaching and advising me: Reem was listening, and she will make you proud. Also, I’m not going to bother with goodbyes… I’ll be back teaching here in 5 years.

Being part of AUIB’s first graduating class is a moment I’ll never forget—it’s the reward of years of effort, hope, and growth. I entered with ambition but leave with resilience, purpose, and a clearer sense of self. AUIB gave me more than a degree; it gave me a second home, friends who became family, and memories I’ll carry for life. This journey shaped not just my future, but who I’ve become.

Graduating from AUIB feels like the end of a chapter that changed me in all aspects; every person I met, every instructor I learned from, and every good or tough moment along the way helped shape who I am today, it really became my second home.

As one of the graduates in AUIB, I sometimes wonder if I’m supposed to feel like a national treasure by now. Spoiler: I don’t. But that’s okay — AUIB didn’t teach me how to be famous, it taught me how to be myself. How to celebrate the small wins, learn something new every day, and be grateful even when life throws you in AUIB. I may not be the most special graduate but honestly, I’d rather have what I do have: walking out with the most special people.

At AUIB, I walked a path where knowledge was a trust, patience was the companion, and sincerity was the guide — inspired by the words of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family): “Render back the trust to those who entrusted you.”
