JOB SUMMARY:
- Teach basic and advanced math courses for undergraduate students of diverse majors.
- Develop math program curriculum, jointly with the head of department, and contribute to ongoing program review, assessment, and evaluation.
- Participate in departmental or college meetings, take part in various committees, and assist in recruitment activities.
- Assist in departmental and programmatic planning and preparations.
- Undertake research activities, collaborate with faculty on research projects, and establish research collaborations with external members of the academic community.
- Be familiar with all the rules, regulations and policies that govern teaching, research, and interactions with members of the university community and always observe them.
Job Location: AUIB Campus, Airport Road, Baghdad, Iraq.

Areas of Accountabilities: Main Activities
- Teach basic and advanced chemistry courses for undergraduate majors in chemistry and related fields.
- Set up chemistry labs and supervise lab instruction.
- Contribute to ongoing chemistry program review, assessment, and evaluation.
- Participate in department/college meetings, take part in various committees, and assist in recruitment activities.
- Contribute to pertinent departmental and programmatic planning and preparations.
- Undertake research activities, collaborate with faculty on research projects, and establish research collaborations with external members of the academic community.
- Be familiar with all the rules, regulations and policies that govern teaching, research, and interactions with members of the university community and always observe them.
JOB Qualifications Minimum:
A: Education:
- PhD in chemistry obtained from a reputable university in the United States or Europe.
B: Experience: Years/Type of Work Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience post-secondary in a college/ university setting.
C: Licenses and Certifications:
D: Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
- In-depth and up to date knowledge of chemistry concepts, theories, and applications relevant to the field.
- Skillful at conveying complex ideas, designing engaging lectures, and facilitating active learning.
- Expertise in developing course materials, overseeing lab activities, including setup, safety, and experiment supervision.
- Strong written and oral communication skills for effective interaction and presenting findings.
- Proven track record of publishing in respected journals within the field.
- Adaptability to evolving education and technology trends while upholding quality.
- Commitment to high ethical standards in teaching, research, and conduct.
