JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of Marketing and Sales at the Continuing Education Institute (CEI) at the American University of Iraq, Baghdad (AUIB), will drive strategic growth through integrated sales and marketing strategies. This role aims to enhance brand visibility, foster client relationships, and lead revenue-generating activities. The Director will focus on sales management, market trends, and new business opportunities while positioning CEI as a leader in the education sector.

Job Location: AUIB Campus, Airport Road, Baghdad, Iraq.

Job Description, Duties, And Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership and Planning:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and sales strategy aligned with CEI’s goals.
  • Monitor market trends and identify new business opportunities to drive enrollment and service growth.
  • Manage and allocate annual budgets for both sales and marketing to ensure sustainable growth.

Sales Focus and Revenue Generation:

  • Lead the sales team in acquiring new clients, building pipelines, and closing contracts.
  • Establish sales targets and provide leadership to achieve or exceed revenue goals.

Marketing Leadership and Brand Management:

  • Design and implement digital marketing campaigns to increase CEI’s visibility and enrollment.
  • Oversee content creation and ensure consistent brand messaging across platforms.
  • Manage CEI’s online presence (website, social media) and coordinate public-facing events.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Mentor and develop the marketing and sales team, fostering a culture of high performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment between sales, marketing, and academic programs.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide continuous feedback for improvement.

Performance Metrics and Reporting:

  • Analyze sales data and marketing KPIs to assess performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Prepare detailed reports on achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement for senior leadership.
  • Stay ahead of market trends by promoting innovation in marketing and sales approaches.

JOB Qualifications Minimum:

A: Education:

  • B. bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • MBA or master’s degree in marketing/Sales is preferred
  • D/Ph.D.

B: Experience: Years/Type of Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in marketing and sales roles.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in a leadership or managerial position

  • Communication & Negotiation Skills:
    Exceptional ability to communicate effectively and negotiate with clients and stakeholders.

    Proficient in using CRM software and marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
  • Analytical Skills:
    Strong analytical ability to interpret complex data and market trends, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Creative Thinking & Strategic Mindset:
    Ability to think creatively and develop innovative marketing and sales strategies aligned with CEI’s goals.
  • Adaptability & Multitasking:
    Skilled at working under pressure and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic market environment.

    Proven leadership in mentoring and developing high-performance teams.
