The College of Law at the American University of Iraq – Baghdad (AUIB) achieved a dual academic accomplishment at the 2nd Annual Conference of the Iraqi Competition and Anti-Trust Council 2025. Student Ahmed Belaasim earned first place and the Golden Shield in the Anti-Trust Research Competition in the undergraduate category. This recognition was awarded for his outstanding research paper titled, “The Legal and Regulatory Challenges in Enforcing Competition and Antitrust Laws in Iraqi Legislation,” which he prepared under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Dr. Khansaa Mohammed Jassim.
The College of Law also received the Academic Sponsorship Shield, acknowledging Dr. Khansaa Mohammed Jassim’s contributions to the conference’s scientific committee. This honor reflects the College’s active role in supporting scientific research and its commitment to developing it and spreading legal awareness in the broader community.
