The College of Business (CoB) at the American University of Iraq-Baghdad (AUIB) and its students organized a “Donuts with the Dean” event, where Freshman CoB Students met their College’s faculty members and interacted with them in a casual, relaxed setting.

Learning English at AUIB’s English Language Academy, in preparation for students’ undergraduate studies, is “the most important investment students will ever make,” said CoB Dean, Dr. Mohammad Hamade, at the occasion, affirming that “mastering the language” is crucial, whatever career path a student might choose to take, and wherever she or he decides to pursue postgraduate studies, as many universities in different countries around the world offer postgraduate programs where English is the language of study. Moreover, Dr. Hamade stressed the importance of AUIB’s Core Liberal Arts based system of education, as it develops well-rounded, cultured personalities, especially important as multidisciplinary knowledge and expertise are in increasing demand not only in academia, but also in a wide array of jobs in various sectors.
