The American University of Iraq-Baghdad (AUIB) is ever keen to promote various initiatives aimed at social service, and to support relevant activities on part of different community organizations in Iraq.
In this context, AUIB hosted a training workshop on the employment of Oral Placement Therapy with autistic children, organized by the Baghdad Center for Psychological and Social Support, and attended by a number of social workers and interested parties. The workshop shed light on the connection between the mode of nourishment at an early age and the evolution of speech, and also on speech disorders of neurological roots, among a number of topic, and discussed relevant therapeutic techniques.
