A delegation from the American University of Iraq-Baghdad (AUIB), headed by university President, Dr. Michael Mulnix, visited the Iraqi Ministry of Youth and Sports, where they were welcomed by Minister Adnan Durjal and senior members of Ministry staff.
The two parties discussed the implementation of collaborative projects that were outlined by a Memorandum of Understanding signed earlier. Discussions focused on 12 programs of the Ministry that involved various athletic, cultural, and scientific activities for the youth, and how to develop and implement them in cooperation with AUIB.
During the meeting, Minister Durjal and his team expressed their desire to maintain and prolong the partnership with AUIB. Accordingly, Minister Durjal directed that a special committee of the Ministry of Youth and Sports be assembled for the purpose of coordinating with the AUIB team dedicated to following up on collaborative projects with the Ministry.
