A delegation of the University of Baghdad visited the American University of Iraq-Baghdad (AUIB) for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two universities’ Colleges of Law.

AUIB President, Dr. Michael Mulnix, and members of AUIB faculty and staff welcomed the University of Baghdad delegation to a signing ceremony of the MOU, where President Mulnix expressed his pleasure and pride at receiving Dr. Ali ِAl-Hilali, Dean of the College of Law at the University of Baghdad, “one of the most respected law colleges in the region. We are looking to their help and support to establish our own College of Law”, President Mulnix said, announcing the initiation of collaboration between the colleges of law of both universities on joint conferences and possibly on a joint research publication.

In turn, Dr. Al-Hilali expressed his great joy at visiting AUIB for the second time, to attend the signing ceremony of the MOU that includes a preliminary agreement on the exchange of students, and spoke of the 114-year-old academic tradition of the University of Baghdad College of Law, which would enrich AUIB’s College of Law on the levels of research, instruction, and various other academic activities.
