Rusul Adnan
Chemistry Lab Instructor
Before joining AUIB, Rusul Adnan gained extensive academic and laboratory experience through multiple research and teaching positions in Iraq, Lebanon, and the UAE. She currently serves as a Chemistry Lab Instructor at the American University of Iraq–Baghdad, where she teaches General and Organic Chemistry laboratories, guiding students in experimental design, data analysis, and laboratory safety.
Previously, she served as a Chemistry Lab Assistant at AUIB, where she supervised the preparation of laboratory materials and ensured adherence to safety and quality standards. Her prior academic engagement also includes an internship at the American University of Emirates, where she developed skills in administrative management and academic coordination.
Rusul’s scientific background is rooted in biochemistry and pharmaceutical chemistry. She has conducted internships at Al-Zahraa Hospital and Benta Pharma Industries in Lebanon, where she gained hands-on experience in diagnostic biochemistry, pathology testing, and pharmaceutical formulation.
She earned her Master’s degree in Chemistry from Beirut Arab University in 2022, where her thesis focused on the synthesis and antibacterial properties of Mg-doped CuO nanoparticles, and her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the same university in 2020. Her research has been published in leading journals, including MDPI and IOP Science, with studies highlighting the structural, optical, and antibacterial properties of nanomaterials.
Rusul has received several certifications in pharmaceutical manufacturing, bioinformatics, and spectroscopic identification, and she is certified by the Iraqi Ministry of Education in teaching skills and safety of Arabic language courses.
Her technical expertise spans advanced laboratory and analytical techniques such as electrochemical measurement, XRD, FTIR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and SEM analysis, reflecting her deep commitment to scientific precision and laboratory excellence.
