Dr. Nada Naaman

Before joining AUIB, she served as Dean of the Faculty of Dental Medicine (2005–2017) at Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ), Lebanon, and Secretary General of the Society of Arab Dental Faculties.

Dean Naaman brings extensive expertise in academic program planning, curriculum development, accreditation processes, continuing education, ISO certification, and the clinical management of dental care centers. She has significant experience with European accreditation standards and curriculum mapping aligned with the Association for Dental Education in Europe (ADEE) benchmarks and has demonstrated an enduring commitment to advancing dental education across the region

Her professional experience spans multiple collaborations and academic work with U.S. universities, including participation in exchange programs and presentations at meetings held at leading institutions. These engagements have strengthened her perspective on global dental education and innovation.

Dr. Nada Naaman completed her Doctorate in Oral Biology and Specialty in Periodontology at Paris 7 University in France. She served as Head of the Periodontology Department and Course Director of the master’s Program in Periodontology.

Dr. Naaman’s research interests include periodontology, oral medicine, implant dentistry, oral surgery, biomaterials, and bone regeneration, with publications in peer-reviewed journals. She has taught a wide range of courses—oral histology, evidence-based dentistry, periodontology, and implant dentistry—across predoctoral, postdoctoral, and continuing education programs, and lectures internationally.

She is an active member of the Association for Dental Education in Europe (ADEE), the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), the International Association for Dental Research (IADR), the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP), and the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO), International Team for Implantology (ITI) and is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists (ICD).
