Dr. Adam Mayer, PhD is Assistant Professor of International Studies. An expert on Comparative Politics of the Global South, African Security and the history of African Political Thought, Adam’s monographs include Naija Marxism’s: Revolutionary Thought in Nigeria, Pluto Press, London, 2016, and Military Marxism: Africa’s Contribution to Revolutionary Theory, Lexington Books, Lanham, 2025.

His articles have appeared in the Journal of the African Literature Association, Review of African Political Economy, African Identities, International Journal of African Historical Studies, Canadian Journal of African Studies, and Historical Materialism. He is supervising doctoral dissertations at the University of Obuda, Hungary and UNED, Madrid, Spain.
