Dr. Stephen Robinson

Dean of College of Education and Human Development

Stephen Robinson brings decades of leadership experience across higher education, independent schools, and international education systems. He formerly served as President of the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS), leading accreditation efforts for over 300 independent schools across the U.S. and abroad and has held senior leadership roles in both university and K–12 settings.

His academic leadership includes positions in student affairs, enrollment management, assessment, and graduate education. Internationally, he served as Canon for Education and Superintendent of Schools for the Episcopal Diocese of Honduras, directing strategy and leadership development across seven bilingual schools, and is currently involved in bilingual education initiatives in Southeast Asia.

Dr. Robinson holds a Ph.D. in Applied Behavioral Studies in Education, an M.A. in General Education with an emphasis in Psychology, and a B.A. in Religious Studies and Music. A Fulbright Fellow, he has also completed advanced studies at Harvard University and the Wharton School of Business.

A contributor to the national Education Reimagined initiative, he is guided by a holistic philosophy of education; one that cultivates intellect, health, and service. As Dean at AUIB, he is committed to preparing Iraq’s next generation of educators and leaders.
