The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) at the American University of Iraq-Baghdad (AUIB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Faculty of Arts at Charles University (CUFA) in Prague, the Czeck capital, opening up opportunities for collaboration in research and various scholarly activities.
Collaboration between AUIB’s CAS and CUFA contributes to building bridges of understanding and cultural interaction between nations. As per the signed MoU, the two parties will engage in joint research projects, symposia, and lectures on various topics, including in development studies and the history of development, and they will exchange members of faculty and students, as well as academic material, experience, and relevant information. By virtue of this preliminary agreement, AUIB students will have the opportunity to join Study Abroad programs and summer programs at Charles University.
This new partnership adds to AUIB’s international network of partner institutions of higher education another historic and prestigious university, significantly enhancing AUIB faculty and student exchange programs. It will engage AUIB students in transformative global learning experiences, fostering their intercultural competency. Charles University, one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Europe, was founded in 1348 by Emperor Charles IV. Albert Einstein was once a professor of physics there. Today, the university excels in international cooperation and academic programs. This partnership will undoubtedly advance higher education in Iraq and contribute to developing global learning skills among its youth.
