JOB SUMMARY:

• Teach basic and advanced math courses for undergraduate students of diverse majors.
• Assist in departmental and programmatic planning and preparations.
• Be familiar with all the rules, regulations and policies that govern teaching, and interactions with members of the university community and always observe them.

Job Location: AUIB Campus, Airport Road, Baghdad, Iraq.

Key Responsibility:
Areas of Accountabilities: Main Activities

1. Teach basic and advanced chemistry courses for undergraduate majors in chemistry and related fields.
2. Set up chemistry labs and supervise lab instruction.
3. Contribute to ongoing chemistry program review, assessment, and evaluation.
4. Participate in department/college meetings, take part in various committees, and assist in recruitment activities.
5. Contribute to pertinent departmental and programmatic planning and preparations.
6. Undertake research activities, collaborate with faculty on research projects, and establish research collaborations with external members of the academic community.
7. Be familiar with all the rules, regulations and policies that govern teaching, research, and interactions with members of the university community and always observe them.

JOB Qualifications Minimum:

A: Education:

• PhD in chemistry obtained from a reputable university in the United States or Europe.

B: Experience: Years/Type of Work Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience post-secondary in a college/ university setting.

1. In-depth and up to date knowledge of chemistry concepts, theories, and applications relevant to the field.
2. Skillful at conveying complex ideas, designing engaging lectures, and facilitating active learning.
3. Expertise in developing course materials, overseeing lab activities, including setup, safety, and experiment supervision.
4. Strong written and oral communication skills for effective interaction and presenting findings.
5. Proven track record of publishing in respected journals within the field.
6. Adaptability to evolving education and technology trends while upholding quality.
7. Commitment to high ethical standards in teaching, research, and conduct.
