Position Title: Director of Institutional Effectiveness
Location: American University of Iraq, Baghdad
Reports To: President

Position Summary:
AUIB is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Institutional Effectiveness to drive its mission of academic excellence and operational efficiency. In this pivotal role, the Director will lead efforts to secure and maintain international accreditation, ensuring the university meets the highest global standards. The Director will also oversee institutional research and quality assurance, playing a crucial role in the strategic planning and continuous improvement of academic and operational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accreditation Leadership: Lead the university’s efforts to achieve and maintain international accreditation, supporting both institutional and college-level accreditation processes.
  2. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the university’s mission and accreditation goals.
  3. Institutional Research: Oversee data collection and analysis related to university operations, using insights to inform decisions and promote continuous improvement.
  4. Quality Assurance: Ensure all academic and operational activities comply with accreditation standards, driving quality improvement across the institution.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with faculty, staff, students, and external partners to advance AUIB’s strategic objectives.
  6. Reporting and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, providing transparent and timely reporting.

Education and Experience:

  • Advanced degree in education, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in higher education, with expertise in accreditation, quality assurance, and strategic planning.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage institutional research, data analysis, and compliance reporting.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commitment to integrity, professionalism, and achieving results.
