The American University of Iraq – Baghdad (AUIB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Al-Qadisiyah today during a visit by a high-level delegation from the University of Al-Qadisiyah to the AUIB campus. Focused on joint scientific cooperation, the MOU was signed by the Presidents of both universities in a ceremony attended by members of the faculty and staff of both universities.
AUIB President, Dr. Michael Mulnix, said, “The MOU signing with the University of Al-Qadisiyah will increase the opportunities for cooperation in scientific fields and allow students and researchers to exchange knowledge and develop long-term relationships between our universities. We continue to establish strong relationships with universities in Iraq and around the world and we are eager to have this partnership,” said President Mulnix.
The President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Prof. Dr. Kadhum Jabur Al-Jubouri, likewise lauded the cooperation between the two universities. “We see a distinguished university environment that provides all the appropriate conditions for university studies that prepare the student for scientific excellence,” he added, “this academic edifice will add scientific sobriety to university education in Iraq.”
The MOU opens many possibilities for scientific cooperation and exchange of expertise in various programs that Iraqi students can study at either AUIB or Al-Qadisiyah University.
