Undergraduate Course Registration

Your program planning guide is designed to assist you in tracking your progress to completing program requirements. You can download a copy and track the courses you have taken and plan for the next courses to register for.

Timetable search

To plan your schedule you will need to use information found in the Timetable. Review the schedule of course offerings to plan out your schedule for when registration opens. Be sure to review the information carefully as there are multiple sections of the same course, prerequisites, corequisites, labs, and permissions required.

For most courses we have the following terms:

  • Fall Term (September to December)
  • Winter Term (December to January)
  • Spring Term (January to April)
  • Summer Terms (May to June, July to August, and May to August)

AUIB will announce by email when the semester timetable is published, and you will have a couple of weeks to plan the courses you wish to register for.

Dates and deadlines

Specific start and end dates are found in the Academic Catalog and Timetable.

How to register

Before you register

Log in to your Student Centre to ensure you have cleared any ‘holds’ you may have on your account. Familiarize yourself with registration dates and deadlines.

Any English language courses as part of the Academic Success Program (ASP) will be registered for you by Enrollment Officers. You will then select any additional undergraduate course you may want to add.

Registration for new students in their first semester will also be completed by the Registrar’s Office and new students can choose to add additional courses according to their English proficiency level.

Plan your registration

Plan out the required courses first, and then select a list of electives. We recommend selecting some alternative courses in the event your first-choice elective might be full and can be taken another time. Remember, the accuracy of your registration is your sole responsibility. Some courses need to be taken in sequence, others may need to be taken together.

Academic rules and requirements may change. Those in the Academic Catalog will be published annually, whereas degree requirements followed are those at the time of your admission. Your degree requirements are outlined in the Program Planning Guides.

Any questions about your program rules should be directed to your Faculty Advisor.

Register

The ability to register online is currently under development. Students will be able to log into their Student Centre to:

  • View course descriptions
  • Add and drop courses
  • Withdraw from courses
  • View their class schedule

Students may need to get approval by their Faculty Advisor for some, or all, of their courses.

By registering for courses, you are agreeing to the rules and regulations of AUIB. You can read important information regarding our policies in the University Catalog.

Pay your Fees

Payment for tuition and fees is made at the Cashier’s located in the Registration building. We are looking to expand upon our payment options and the ability to view your financial statement of accounts through your Student Centre. In the meantime, you may inquire about your balance with the Cashiers.

For more detailed information on tuition and fees.

Remember, you are financially and academic responsible for all the course you are registered for in SIS after the add/drop deadline, even if you do not attend class. Non-payment of fees will result in a ‘financial hold’ on your account which will restrict your ability to register for courses in the subsequent semester, view grades, and request enrollment verification and transcripts.
