Center for Research and Development (CRD)
The AUIB Center for Research and Development (CRD) is a research center that deals with diverse human and scientific fields and specializations, both theoretical and applied. It is being established at the AUIB to serve as the primary link between the university, research institutions, professors, and researchers. The center aims to create a scientific environment and conduct research-related activities on various issues that align with the basic needs of developing multiple sectors.
Vision
At its core, the center at the AUIB seeks to promote theoretical research projects, infield and applied research, exploratory studies, contributing to providing consultations to institutions in order to build society and state, raise awareness and knowledge in the academic community specifically, and reflect that onto society in general. It also encourages cooperation between universities, research institutions, and researchers on various levels, both within Iraq and abroad. Undoubtedly, establishing the center aims to provide an opportunity for interaction among faculty members, researchers, and students to enhance the educational process, promote academic excellence, and create an academic environment that offers solutions to contemporary global issues.
Mission
The mission of the CRD at AUIB lies in keeping up with progress in the world of research in order to offer an advanced model of scientific and human knowledge in service to society. The center seeks to enhance scientific cooperation with institutions and individuals, encourage scientific research, and provide various consultations in different fields to relevant institutions. The center presents its research and development projects through conferences, publications, seminars, and workshops. Thus, it seeks to achieve its scientific goals by producing specialized books, studies, and working papers with a scientific methodology, establishing multidisciplinary research projects, adopting a vision that addresses the challenges of our societies and their needs in science and specialized knowledge, and offering all this in both English and Arabic languages.
Objectives
The CRD at AUIB aims to achieve the following objectives:
- Preparing theoretical, applied, and field research and studies that cover various cultural and scientific fields, including humanities, applied sciences, social research, and others.
- Conducting specialized field studies addressing society.
- Organizing scientific conferences, seminars, study circles, and discussions, hosting researchers and specialists.
- Holding training and educational courses in various fields.
- Disseminating knowledge according to scientific methodologies and promoting the spirit of scientific research in Iraq and the Arab world.
- Providing scientific consultations in various fields for institutions and Individuals
