The American University of Iraq-Baghdad (AUIB) welcomes to its family HE Lukman Abdul Rahim Al-Faily, Iraqi Ambassador to Germany, as a Visiting Distinguished Scholar.
AUIB President, Dr. Michael Mulnix, gave Ambassador Al-Faily a warm welcome, expressing his high hopes that the diplomat’s engagement with AUIB staff and faculty would contribute substantially to realizing the University’s ambition to establish itself as a world-class Tier One, Research One higher education institution.
President Mulnix declared that AUIB, as a fast-developing academic and intellectual center, is ideally suited to be the center for the implementation of Ambassador Al-Faily’s ambitious initiative, Iraq Vision 2040. “This major national project will revise or enhance existing government and community programs, as well as outline new environmental, political, social, and economic initiatives to raise the standard of living for all Iraqis”, explained President Mulnix, pledging all possible support to Ambassador Al-Faily’s initiative, and affirming AUIB’s commitment to achieving its goals and objectives.
