The American University of Iraq-Baghdad (AUIB) hosted a medical workshop on therapeutic Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, organized by “Left Sphere”, a medical events and workshops planning company, in collaboration with AstraZeneca, a leading biopharmaceutical company.
Dr. Mustapha Ibrahim Younes, Key Account Manager, at “Left Sphere”, explains that the “advanced” workshop was centered around “best practices in therapeutic Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI),” stressing that the event was “the first of its kind in Iraq.” During the workshop, surgeons specialized in the aforementioned field demonstrated to attending Medical Doctors, on a simulator device (called CATHI), how to best perform PCI; and subsequently, a number of MDs participated in the simulation.
