The American University of Iraq-Baghdad (AUIB) delivered a quality, sizable contribution to the “International Conference and Exhibition of Pharmacy Colleges in Iraq” that convened in Baghdad over a period of three days and attracted over three thousand participants, researchers and professionals in the field, mostly from Iraq, but also from different countries around the world. The conference was sponsored by the Committee of Deans of Pharmacy Colleges in Iraq, in cooperation with the Syndicate of Iraqi Pharmacists, and with the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) as a scientific partner.

In the plenary sessions, where scientific research on the latest developments and innovations in various fields of pharmacy was presented, the Deans of AUIB’s College of Pharmacy and the College of Healthcare Technologies, Prof. Achraf Al Faraj and Prof. Allal Ouhtit, consecutively, as well as five other faculty members of both colleges, presented research that focused on Artificial Intelligence and the latest emergent technologies in pharmaceutical sciences.

The event also featured a competition among student teams of twelve colleges of pharmacy at Iraqi universities, where AUIB’s College of Pharmacy student team won second place on the national level, despite competing with students in higher academic year levels.
