A student’s delegation of the American University of Iraq-Baghdad’s (AUIB’s) College of Business visited the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI), where they were received by the Director-General of the Investment and Foreign Remittances Department, Dr. Mazen Sabah Ahmed, who expounded on CBI’s key responsibilities, structure, and functions, as well as the broad skill-set required to carry out the former.

Consequently, this broad set of responsibilities and functions requires a CBI cadre with a wide range of skills and expertise, including technical, managerial, lingual, and communication skills, and above all, a “mentality of critical thinking and problem-solving.”
