Sarmad Yousif serves as Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at the American University of Iraq – Baghdad (AUIB), where he leads the university’s marketing, branding, communications, and enrollment growth strategy.

He is responsible for developing and executing an integrated, full-funnel marketing model that connects brand positioning, student recruitment, digital performance, and stakeholder engagement. His work focuses on building a structured marketing system that strengthens institutional reputation, enhances visibility, and improves the overall student experience—driving sustainable enrollment growth over time.

Prior to joining AUIB, Sarmad held senior leadership roles in marketing and business growth, with a strong track record in scaling operations, optimizing conversion performance, and leading data-driven campaigns across multiple industries.

At AUIB, his current focus is on establishing a unified brand framework, strengthening digital and content ecosystems, and aligning marketing efforts with the university’s mission as an outcome-driven, American-style institution focused on employability, innovation, and real-world impact.

He works closely with university leadership, academic units, and external partners to ensure alignment between institutional strategy, brand positioning, and market execution.
