Professor Hani Abdul Salam
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery & Anesthesia
In addition to his role at AUIB, Dr. Hani serves on the Faculty Advisory Board & he is an Adjunct Professor at McGill University’s Faculty of Dental Medicine & Oral Health Sciences & Shriners Hospital, Canada. He is also a faculty member at the University of Toronto.
His academic journey includes a BSc in Health Sciences & a MSc from the American University of Beirut’s Faculty of Medicine, a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Lebanese University, & a specialty in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery & Anesthesia from the University of Toronto. He also holds a PhD from McGill University.
Currently, Dr. Hani is the Regional Director for the FDI World Dental Federation Continuing Dental Education (CDE) program in the Middle East. He is the former Director of McGill’s CDE for the Middle East & North Africa & Education Delegate for the International Team of Implantology (ITI) for the Middle East, & Director of a Post-graduate Program in Oral Surgery & Implantology.
His scope of practice includes dental implants, bone grafting, minor surgery, oral & maxillofacial pathology & reconstruction, trauma, temporomandibular joint disorders, & orthognathic surgery.
An internationally experienced clinician, educator, & researcher, Dr. Hani is sought after as a renowned speaker globally. His research focuses on oral surgery, implant dentistry, & bone regeneration, & he holds advanced certifications in research design & statistics. He is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists & the ITI.
