Dr. Rod Monger

Vice President of Administration and Finance

Dr. Rod Monger is Vice President of Administration and Finance. He was previously Associate Professor of Accounting at the American University of Iraq – Baghdad and has served on the faculties of several Asian and American universities. He has also served as department chair of business and director of the MBA program as well as director of continuing education in Afghanistan.

Dr. Monger has a doctorate in Accounting (Business Administration) from the University of Houston. He has held certifications including Certified Management Accountant, Certified Islamic Professional Accountant., and Certified Fraud Examiner He published a textbook through John Wiley & Sons, Inc.: Financial Accounting: A Global Perspective. His article, “Islamic Finance Enters the Mainstream,” Management Accounting Quarterly, with Dr. Mufeed Rawashdeh, won a Certificate of Merit Award from the Institute of Management Accounting. In 2021, he published a book with Dr. Rene Ryman at the American University of Paris, Artificial Intelligence and the Creative Destruction of the American Education System.

Dr. Monger has also held several industry posts. He was Vice President for Consulting for The Research Board in New York. He began his career with the Exxon Corporation. He has been an entrepreneur, having started and led companies in consulting and real estate. He has also served on several boards of directors including a regulated firm based in Dubai that specialized in sustainable energy investments.
