Dr. Jacob Al-Hashemi
Assistant Professor of Endodontics
Dr. Jacob Al-Hashemi is an Assistant Professor of Endodontics at AUIB, bringing extensive clinical and academic experience to the program. Prior to joining AUIB, he served as a full-time faculty member at Mustansiriyah University College of Dentistry, where he trained 4th- and 5th-year students in advanced endodontic concepts and clinical techniques. Before returning to Iraq, Dr. Al-Hashemi practiced as a full-time endodontist in Richland, Washington, refining his expertise in microscopic and surgical endodontics.
He earned his Master’s degree in Biomaterials from the State University of New York at Buffalo, followed by a Doctor of Science in Dentistry (DScD) in Molecular Biology from Boston University, where he also completed a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) in Endodontics—comprehensive specialty training focused on patient-centered care.
Dr. Al-Hashemi is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (FRCDC) in Endodontics. His academic and clinical philosophy emphasizes scientific precision, empathy, and innovation—bridging modern biological research with everyday endodontic practice to enhance patient outcomes and inspire the next generation of dental professionals.
