Dr. Adil Ghidan

Assistant Professor of Computer Science

Dr. Adil Ghidan is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science in the Department of Natural and Applied Sciences at the American University of Iraq—Baghdad (AUIB). His research and teaching focus on Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, and Machine Learning, with applications spanning bioinformatics and automated visual analysis.

At AUIB, Dr. Ghidan teaches a range of undergraduate and graduate courses including Digital Logic, Object-Oriented Programming, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Image Processing, and Computer Vision. His scholarly work emphasizes the development of innovative AI-based computational tools and applied research in intelligent visual systems, several of which have been published in leading international journals.

Dr. Ghidan has contributed to advancing AI education and research in Iraq through curriculum innovation, mentorship, and collaborative projects that connect academic research with industry applications.
