Dr. Abbas Issa

Associate professor Abbas Issa is a faculty member of the College of Business, American University of Iraq-Baghdad (AUIB). He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration and MBA in Management Information Systems. Dr. Issa has expertise in Management Information Systems, he has more than seventeen years of experience in education and student recruitment and more than eight years of industrial experience.

Dr. Issa is an expert in the development of information systems and technology strategies. He has taught BBA and MBA programs. He delivered courses in strategic management, Information system strategies, Data Management, Operations Management, System analysis and design, e-commerce, supply chain management, and Business intelligence. Dr. Issa has a main research interest in startup ecosystem development, sustainable digital management development, and e-payment systems.

Dr. Issa was the program coordinator for MMIS, he coordinated various sections throughout nine campuses. He worked as a student advisor and recruiter. Before his academic responsibilities, he occupied positions in network project management, and systems analysis and development.
