A delegation from “Al-Tameiuz Center” of the National Security Advisory of Iraq visited the American University of Iraq-Baghdad (AUIB), where they met University President, Dr. Michael Mulnix, and senior members of faculty and staff, and discussed the prospects of cooperation.
President Mulnix welcomed the visiting delegation and briefed them on AUIB’s educational and training programs. Afterwards, there was “a very fascinating discussion about how the university can cooperate” with the Center in the field of research and training, according to President Mulnix.
In turn, Mr. Saed Jayashi, Strategic Affairs Advisor at the Center, thanked President Mulnix and AUIB faculty and staff “for organizing a space for cooperation on specialized educational and training programs for state cadre.” Mr. Jayashi added, “It is known that Al-Tameiuz Center at the National Security Advisory is running a grand strategic project of higher education for state employees. We have cooperation arrangements with 11 Iraqi governmental universities, and today, we are considering yet another opportunity, and we see in the American University of Iraq-Baghdad scientific capabilities and solid institutions, therefore, we may forge a partnership with the University on training and educational programs.”
