Dr. Khansaa Jasim stands as a prominent legal luminary within the realm of law, boasting a distinguished academic background crowned by a Ph.D. in Public International Law—the first in the Middle East to delve into the theory of fragmentation within this domain, attributable to the manifold rules it encompasses. Her scholarly contributions have culminated in two seminal books, “Judicial Protection of the Individual in International Law” and “The Fragmentation of Public International Law Due to the Diversity of its Rules,” alongside numerous research endeavors spanning various legal subjects.

Currently holding the esteemed position of Associate Dean at the College of Law, American University of Iraq – Baghdad, Dr. Jasim imparts her erudition through professorial roles in courses ranging from Public International Law and Administrative Law to Islamic Law and Constitutional Law. Her influence extends beyond the classroom, as evidenced by her pivotal involvement as a legal advisor, faculty advisor, and coach in a myriad of national, regional, and international moot court competitions, including the Jessup Competition, William Vis Moot, Saudi Arabia Commercial Arbitration Competition, and IT Law Moot Court.

Dr. Jasim’s affiliations with esteemed organizations such as the American Association for Public International Law and the Egyptian Association for Public International Law underscore her eminence in the legal fraternity. Moreover, her membership in the Egyptian Society for Political Economy, Statistics, and Legislation, as well as the Scientific Society for Tax Legislation, further accentuates her multifaceted engagements and profound expertise across diverse legal and policy domains.

Beyond her scholarly and professional pursuits, Dr. Jasim fervently advocates for youth empowerment and legal education enhancement, serving as a legal expert and youth ambassador for the Iraqi Youth Model United Nations. Her dedication extends to accreditation programs for law colleges in Iraq and membership in the Committee of Iraqi Deans of Law Colleges, where she actively contributes to elevating the standards of legal education and professional ethics within the country.
