The American University of Iraq-Baghdad (AUIB) received Mr. James Gallagher, Director of the Department for International Trade_ Iraq at the embassy of the United Kingdom in Baghdad, who was welcomed by AUIB President, Dr. Michael Mulnix, as “a very special guest.”

Mr. Gallagher visited AUIB campus to get acquainted with some of the university’s plans for the future, and to cement the relationship with Great Britain, paving the way for joint agreements and partnerships in a variety of areas, declared President Mulnix, expressing his pride at receiving the British official.

For his part, Mr. Gallagher expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome he received at AUIB, and also his joy at being at its campus, which he described as a “fantastic, amazing location,” noting that “the scale of ambition here is absolutely huge. I think that there’s a lot that we can do together, and I think that our future can be based on partnership and cooperation between AUIB and UK universities. I’m looking forward to contributing to that, and to strengthening our partnership in the future,” concluded Mr. Gallagher.

The American University of Iraq – Baghdad is a non-profit university founded in 2018. It currently has eight colleges.
