Dr. Nada Naaman

Dean of College of Dentistry

Nada Naaman is the Dean of the College of Dentistry. She began her academic career at Saint Joseph University in Beirut after completing her Doctorate in Oral Biology and Specialty in Periodontology at Paris 7 University in France.  She was head of the Periodontology department and course director of the Master’s program in Periodontology, then Dean of the Faculty of Dental Medicine from 2005 to 2017.

Dean Naaman has extensive experience in academic program planning, development and review, institutional accreditation, continuing education courses, ISO certifications, and clinical management of dental care centers. Having also served as Secretary General of the Society of Arab Dental Faculties from 2005 to 2017, and president of the Lebanese Society of Periodontology, Dean Naaman has an unwavering commitment to academic excellence and the development of future leaders and innovators.

Her areas of research interest include periodontology, oral medicine, implant dentistry, oral surgery, biomaterials, and bone regeneration and her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals. She taught various dentistry courses, oral histology, evidence-based dentistry, periodontology, and implant dentistry in predoctoral, postdoctoral, and continuing education programs and lectures internationally.

She is a member of the Association for Dental Education in Europe, the American Academy of Periodontology, the International Association for Dental Research, the European Federation of Periodontology, the European Association for Osseointegration, and she is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists.
