H.E. the Minister of Water Resources, Eng. Aoun Diab Abdullah, visited the American University of Iraq-Baghdad (AUIB) at the head of a delegation of Ministry officials. The delegation was received by University President, Dr. Bradley Cook, and members of the academic and administrative cadre. The two parties explored potential areas of collaboration and possible synergies between Ministry initiatives, on one hand, and ongoing and prospective projects at AUIB, on the other.
Deliberations focused on facilitating cooperation between concerned departments at the Ministry of Water Resources with AUIB’s Center for Climate Change, Water Security, and Environmental Sustainability (CWE), including on the exchange of information and collaboration in research projects, serving to support the Ministry’s efforts at formulating policies and designing environmental projects, especially in water resources management. in this context, H.E. stressed the Ministry’s keenness on fostering scientific collaboration with academic institutions, especially AUIB.
