The College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) at the American University of Iraq-Baghdad (AUIB), in collaboration with its partners at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College of Education and Human Development, brought together partner school administrators and CEHD students and their parents in an event aiming to highlight CEHD’s distinctive philosophy in preparing the next generation of educators, and also provide networking opportunities that would open up future career paths.
AUIB President, Dr. Bradley Cook, welcomed the lively audience that gathered at the American Space auditorium on campus, acknowledging AUIB’s valuable partnership with Vanderbilt, “one of the most respected universities in the United States.” President Cook saw that “education is really about developing human wellbeing” and the quality of “the choices we give to our children,” speaking on the liberating and empowering effect of a good education.
