Dr. Aows Maan Al-Jammal
Lecturer Ophthalmologist
Before joining AUIB, Dr. AlJammal served as a Lecturer at Ninevah University, College of Medicine (2024 – 2025).
Previously, he completed his ophthalmology residency training at Ibn Al-Haitham Teaching Hospital under the Arab Board program (2019 – 2024) and at Baghdad Medical City (2018 – 2019).
Dr. AlJammal earned his Fellowship of the Arab Board of Health Specialties in Ophthalmology (CAB (Ophth)) in 2024 and his MBChB from the University of Ninevah in 2014.
He combines teaching with active clinical practice, providing comprehensive ophthalmic care including cataract surgery, vision screening, and early disease detection. His academic focus centers on advancing ophthalmology education, mentoring students, and applying research to improve eye-health outcomes in Iraq.
