Position Title: Fulltime Clinic Nurse

Work Schedule: Two to Three 8-hour shifts per week 

Location: Baghdad, Iraq

Department: AUIB Clinic

This position report to the Clinic Manager.
AUIB is committed to fostering academic excellence, innovative research, and community engagement. Our on-campus clinic provides exceptional healthcare services to our students, faculty, and staff. We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Clinic Receptionist to join our team and contribute to the health and well-being of our university community.

Position Summary: The Part-Time University Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare services to the university community. This role requires strong clinical skills, a friendly and professional demeanor, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth clinic operations while delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Assist with triaging patients and prioritizing care based on urgency.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical staff.
• Conduct health assessments and provide health education and counseling.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
• Ensure confidentiality and protect patient information in accordance with university policies and regulations.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and maintaining clinic supplies.
• Participate in health promotion and disease prevention programs on campus.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinic Manager.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with preference for  Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN); additional education or certification in healthcare administration or related field is a plus.
• Previous experience in a nursing role, preferably in a university or campus setting.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in using office software and electronic medical record systems.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in clinical and administrative tasks.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
• Fluent in English and Arabic required other multilingual skills are an advantage.
