This position will report directly to the Talent Acquisition Manager.
Postition Summary: The Talent Acquisition Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the university’s recruitment and hiring efforts. This position assists in coordinating various stages of the recruitment process, from posting job openings to onboarding new hires. The coordinator collaborates closely with the Human Resources team, hiring managers, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless and efficient hiring process.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting and posting job advertisements for open positions on university job boards, external websites, and other relevant platforms.
- Review and screen incoming resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates for various university roles. Identify ones that absolutely don’t meet position requirements, but upload them all to the Position Search file on One Drive daily, alert the Hiring Panel, and set up a new one for each new posting.
- Coordinate interview scheduling, including arranging interviews with candidates, hiring managers, and interview panels.
- Assist in conducting initial phone screenings and interviews to assess candidates’ qualifications and alignment with university values.
- Coordinate reference checks and background screenings for selected candidates as part of the pre-employment process once the top candidates are identified by the hiring manager.
- Assist in the preparation and issuance of job offers to successful candidates, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of offer packages.
- Collaborate with HR and hiring managers to facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and processed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate interactions and hiring processes in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Respond promptly and professionally to candidate inquiries and provide updates on their application status.
- Assist in organizing and participating in university career fairs, job expos, and other recruitment events.
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications teams to enhance the university’s employer brand and promote job opportunities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the talent acquisition process by identifying areas for optimization and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a talent acquisition or recruitment support role is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with university policies, procedures, and compliance requirements is a plus.
- Knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Must have professional proficiency in English.
