Job Summary: AUIB is seeking a Software Development Engineer, dedicated to SDLC. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom applications within the Microsoft Product suite and PowerApps platform. This role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to create innovative solutions that streamline processes, and support AUIB digital experience goals. The ideal candidate must possess strong expertise in Microsoft technologies, demonstrate a deep understanding of business needs, and deliver high-quality, scalable software that aligns with organizational objectives.

This postion reports to ICT Infrastructure Manager.

Areas of Accountabilities: Main Activities :

  • Design, develop, and implement custom applications within Microsoft PowerApps and related technologies.
  • Integrate Microsoft applications with existing systems and third-party tools, enabling seamless data flow and process automation.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancements for developed applications.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including IT, business units, and end-users, to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Develop and execute testing plans, including unit, integration, and user acceptance tests
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for developed applications and provide training and support to end-users.
  • Stay current with Microsoft technologies and best practices.

Minimum Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or closely related Information Technology field.

Proven experience (3+ years) as Software developer with analysis, implementation and evaluation/ testing of Applications and their requirements.

Experience in the Education Sector would be a good plus

C: Professional Licenses and Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified – Power Platform Developer
  • Microsoft Certified – Azure Developer Associate
  • Certified Scrum Developer (CSD)

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

  • Expertise in Microsoft technologies, including PowerApps, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Dynamics 365.
  • Strong coding skills in languages like C#, JavaScript, and SQL.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Clear and concise communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to document processes and provide technical support.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team, including cross-functional collaboration.
