Position Summary: As the Radio Host/Content Producer for AUIB FM 101.5, you will play a pivotal role in creating and delivering engaging radio programming that reflects the mission, achievements, and initiatives of AUIB (Assumption University International Broadcasting). Your responsibilities will encompass hosting various radio programs, producing compelling content, conducting interviews, managing live broadcasts, and promoting AUIB’s brand through effective marketing strategies. With a keen focus on audience engagement and adherence to broadcasting regulations, you will contribute to the success and growth of AUIB’s radio platform.
Core Responsibilities:
- Radio Hosting:
- Host radio programs and broadcasts, including talk shows, interviews, and news segments, on behalf of AUIB.
- Ensure smooth and engaging on-air delivery while adhering to broadcasting guidelines.
- Content Creation:
- Write, edit, and produce compelling content for radio, including scripts, news stories, features, CG titles, social media captions, storyboards, scripts and promotional announcements.
- Ensure that content aligns with the university’s messaging and branding.
- Interviews and Guest Coordination:
- Conduct interviews with university faculty, staff, students, and external experts to showcase AUIB’s achievements, programs, and research.
- Coordinate guest appearances, prepare interview questions, lead the conversation and prevent controversial topics.
- Live Broadcasting:
- While working with technical teams to ensure broadcast quality, oversee live broadcasts and remote recording sessions.
- Monitor and respond to audience interactions during live shows.
- Research and Script Preparation:
- Research topics and subjects relevant to AUIB’s mission and initiatives, as well as social advocacy and topics that are relatable to the public.
- Prepare show scripts, outlines, and talking points.
- Promotion and marketing:
- Assist in promoting radio programs and events through various marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, and the university’s website and FM 101.5 Radio Station.
- Collaborate with the MARCOM team on marketing campaigns.
- Audio Editing:
- Edit audio recordings for broadcast, ensuring clarity and quality (a plus).
- Incorporate music, sound effects, and other audio elements as needed.
- Compliance and Regulations:
- Ensure compliance with broadcasting regulations, copyright laws, and ethical standards.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices.
- Audience Engagement:
- Interact with listeners through phone-ins, social media, interviews, and other platforms.
- Foster a sense of community and engagement among the audience.
- Analytics and Reporting:
- Monitor radio program analytics and audience feedback.
- Provide regular reports and insights to improve content and engagement.
- Analytics and Reporting:
- Focus on highlighting important national and international occasions.
- Use AUIB FM to spread awareness regarding global challenges and advocate for the community by promoting community services or interviewing public influencers, diplomats, and NGOs.
Job main requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Broadcasting, English, or a related field
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience working in graphic design and editing or a related creative and media field
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, computer, and project management skills.
- Work in teams to ensure all elements of web creation are consistent.
- Always stay consistent with our brand guidelines.
- Attention to detail and a creative mindset.
