Position Summary: The Director of Athletics is responsible for overseeing the university’s athletic programs, fostering a culture of excellence in academics and athletics, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role will lead strategic planning, budget management, and community engagement while promoting student-athlete welfare and success.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing Manager to lead the development and execution of marketing strategies that promote the university’s mission, vision, and academic programs. This role is integral to establishing and enhancing the university’s brand presence, driving student recruitment, and fostering engagement with stakeholders in a competitive and evolving higher education environment.

The Marketing Manager will work closely with academic and administrative leadership to design campaigns, create content, and analyze market trends to position the university as a leader in innovation and education.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing & Branding

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans aligned with the university’s strategic goals.
  • Build and maintain a consistent and compelling university brand across all channels, including print, digital, and social media platforms.
  • Lead efforts to position the university as a preferred choice for students, faculty, and external partners.

Student Recruitment Marketing

  • Design and execute recruitment campaigns to attract prospective students, including traditional and digital advertising, events, and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with the admissions team to optimize marketing efforts to meet enrollment targets.

Digital Marketing & Content Management

  • Oversee the university’s website, social media accounts, and other digital platforms to ensure high-quality, engaging, and accurate content.
  • Manage SEO strategies, PPC campaigns, and analytics to maximize visibility and engagement.
  • Develop multimedia content, including videos, blogs, and newsletters, to engage diverse audiences.

Events & Public Relations

  • Coordinate marketing and promotional activities for university events, including open houses, orientations, and community outreach programs.
  • Build relationships with media outlets and coordinate press releases, interviews, and features.

Market Analysis and Reporting

  • Conduct market research to understand trends, identify opportunities, and assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Prepare regular reports on marketing performance, including ROI analysis, to inform future strategies.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, communications, business, or a related field (master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, preferably in higher education or a related industry.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proven expertise in digital marketing, including website management, social media, and analytics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools and software, including CRM, email marketing platforms, and design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and projects.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in marketing for a startup or academic institution.
  • Familiarity with cultural sensitivities and marketing strategies in diverse or international settings.
