Position Title: Fulltime Clinic Receptionist
Location: Baghdad, Iraq
Department: AUIB Clinic
Reports To: Clinic Manager
AUIB is committed to fostering academic excellence, innovative research, and community engagement. Our on-campus clinic provides exceptional healthcare services to our students, faculty, and staff. We are urgently seeking a dedicated and efficient Clinic Receptionist to join our team and contribute to the health and well-being of our university community.
Position Summary:
The Full-Time Clinic Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for patients visiting the on-campus clinic. This role requires excellent communication skills, a friendly and professional demeanor, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth and effective clinic operations while providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff in a warm and professional manner.
- Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and manage the clinic’s appointment system.
- Verify patient information, including insurance details, and update records accurately.
- Assist patients with completing necessary forms and documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect patient information in accordance with university policies and regulations.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide information about clinic services and procedures.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely patient flow and efficient clinic operations.
- Manage the clinic’s front desk, including checking patients in and out.
- Maintain an organized reception area.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinic Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree: additional education or certification in healthcare administration or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using office software and medical record systems.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in administrative tasks.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Must be fluent in English and Arabic while other languages are an advantage.
