Tuqa Majeed Hameed Almsrhad is a Chemistry Lab Instructor at the American University of Iraq—Baghdad (AUIB), where she teaches General Chemistry I & II and Organic Chemistry, combining both theoretical instruction and practical laboratory training regarding general chemistry. She earned her Master of Science degree in Chemistry from Atilim University in 2021 and her Bachelor of Science from the University of Baghdad in 2014.
Before joining AUIB as a Lab Instructor, she worked as a Laboratory Assistant at the same institution, where she supported chemistry instruction, maintained lab equipment, and ensured adherence to safety and quality control standards. Earlier in her career, she served as a Lab Assistant at Al-Naba’ Medical Diagnostics Private Lab, performing chemical and diagnostic analyses.
Her research focuses on hydrogen production, catalysis, and sustainable energy applications. She has published in the International Journal of Energy Research, where her study investigated hydrogen generation from sodium borohydride using carbon nanotube–graphene supported PdRu bimetallic catalysts for PEM fuel cell applications.
Tuqa is passionate about advancing scientific learning, fostering students’ curiosity, and applying innovative teaching methods in chemistry education.
